Some collectors have classified this style of hilt figure as a
representation of a Dutch soldier, based upon the form of the hat.
Personally I think this is open to question, but I have no alternative
suggestions.
There is a vestigal unduk pamor in the sorsoran, indicating that the hilt
material was forge welded to the blade. The blade is of old style pamor
material, something that is a counter indicator to the Dutch soldier
theory, and picit indentations, which can be accepted as genuine,  can
be felt in the blade.                                                            10.4"
