Ubud. There is a panel of hand-cut checkering on one side of the blade, its
purpose being to assist in gripping the blade itself when carrying out delicate
work, the spine of the blade has been provided with an indentation of the
shortest mantra "OM" (or "AUM"), the beginning and end to a Bali-Hindu prayer.
