Keris 6 A Javanese keris of dhapur Kala Misani and pamor Wos Wutah, this is a
textbook example of a Surakarta keris and has all of the indicators that we expect to
see in a high quality Surakarta keris wilah (blade), it is in pristine condition.
The wrongko has good chatoyancy, it is attributed to Tegal and is original to the
blade, the pendok is a recent replacement as the original was damaged beyond saving
by corrosion, this pendok is deeply embossed with a motif of vines and blossoms.
The Pulungan hilt is an excellent example of its type and displays well balanced and
detailed carving, a silver kendit mendak set with yakut and mirah is fitted.
This keris was bought at auction in Sydney in about 1960 and it has been restored.
