Keris 25 An old Javanese keris, classifiable as Tuban, dhapur is tilem upih,

The gembol jati wrongko is a terusan, carved from a single piece of well figured
burl teak. This is an old wrongko, it is original to the blade, the mouth has been
lined to give a good fit to the blade, and it has been re-polished.
The neatly carved black wooden hilt is a butha bajang style, and is fitted with an
old parijoto mendak with traces of gilt.
This keris was acquired in Cirebon in the mid-1970's and has been a part of my
personal collection since that time.
